Work it Girl!

Once upon a time, I considered a career in makeup. Something that many people don't understand is that makeup is meant to be used as an accent, not hide what you have! My friends happen to be my victims when they visit, so I can try all the new hip looks on different faces. My victim today is the beautiful Alexis. She asked for some tips for the new year, but unfortunately I was sick last week.

Here is her before:

As you can see, beautiful. What you cannot see is her personality... Which outshines anyone you could meet. She's a good person. She also put up with me all day, making her do facemasks and such. She doesn't NEED makeup. No one needs it. But some people like using it and that's perfectly fine.

First we used Geri G innocent foundation, $38.00

Then we used IT cosmetics bye bye under eye cream, $24.00

For the cheeks we used Make-up Designory blush, $17.50

For a brightener, we usedW3LL PEOPLE Bio Brightener, $34.50

The red marks where we used the brightener.

Then we used From The Lab Eyelift Primer, which goes over your full lid to the bottom of your eyebrows.

For the eyeshadow, we used MAC cosmetics GREENLUXE shadow palette, $40.00

The application is as follows:

Light tan on the upper outside of the brow to add lift.

Dark tan on the upper inner to add definition.

Lower inner the light shimmery color.

Lower outer the darkest color. Follow the crease of your eyeball for a nice line.

It's very important to add the setting powder before applying anything else... So we used Be a Bombshell Smooth Criminal Powder, $10.00 which absorbs all the shine and keeps everything in place.

We used MAC Cosmetics gel liner, $17.50

Next we used Chantecaille Supreme Cils mascara. It hold really makes your lashes pop. $52.00

Then we applied The Lip Bar Crimson Wonderland lip stick, $25.00

The final product:

Work it Girl! Thank you very much for being my canvas today.
You are wonderful.
